Join the Master Gardeners of Cornell University Cooperative Extension of Allegany County, who are also long-time pastry and bread makers, as they demonstrate the process of making delicious pastries of all types.
Learn the history of these pastries
and the various methods and ingredients used in creating these tasty treats. In
this class, you will learn by actually participating in making a light flaky
pie crust and 4 pastries: Baklava,
Cream Puffs, Danish, and Apple Pie. The class will wrap
up with sampling your work. So, come
with questions and your favorite apron, and be prepared to have fun getting
your hands dusty (with flour that is) and to learn how to make some delicious
pastries!
